I truly love the Kentucky bourbon cake I think it's one of the better products in my opinion.
This was the first time I tasted the Kentucky Bourbon Butter Cake. I'm glad I did. I didn't think it was so buttery after all. It had the texture, and moistness of all the other Tortuga Rum Cake. I would know, I've had them all over the years. My first experince was in their birthplace the Cayman Islands, where I tried econfectioner's rum cake. By far the best was the Tortuga Rum Cakes.
We liked it a lot but thot it was a little too "wet" for a better word. It almost drips with bourbon and/or butter. After you eat a piece you will taste it for a few hours. It is that potent. Of course we came back for more. We enjoyed a small piece after dinner for several days. When it was gone we couldn't wait to try another cake. The rum will be next.
