Sweetening Your Easter Celebration

7th Apr 2025

At Tortuga, we aim to be a part of every celebration, bringing flavor and joy to your table. For this special time of year, we’d like to share some of our favorite products and ideas to make your Easter celebration a little sweeter.

A traditional, beloved Easter treat is lemon pie. If you're looking to indulge in a lemon treat but have little time to bake, opt for a slice of our pleasingly sweet yet tart, Tortuga Key Lime Cake.

Instead of making a Piña Colada Icebox Cake, consider enjoying our Tortuga Pineapple Rum Cake with coconut sorbet or ice cream on the side. Alternatively, you can try our Tortuga Coconut Rum Cake paired with pineapple sorbet. Both delectable desserts are perfect for springtime.

Another fun idea to elevate your table are cake-pops. They are easy to make and share. Below, you'll find a simple recipe to create cake-pops.

**Ingredients:**

- 1 (32 oz) TORTUGA CHOCOLATE RUM CAKE (or your favorite flavor)

- 1 can of frosting (any flavor)

- 1 bag of white chocolate chips or white chocolate melts

- Easter sprinkles (any color or shape you like; the more colorful, the better)

- Skewers

- 1 Styrofoam block (for decoration)

**Instructions:**

  1. Smash the cake using a fork.
  2. Mix in the can of frosting.
  3. Refrigerate the mixture for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove from the fridge and form the mixture into balls.
  5. In a double boiler, melt 1/2 cup of chocolate. Dip the tip of a BBQ skewer into the melted white chocolate, then insert the stick into each cake ball.
  6. Refrigerate the cake-pops again for another 15 minutes.
  7. While the cake-pops are in the fridge, melt the remaining chocolate.
  8. Take the cake-pops out of the fridge and dip the cake part into the melted chocolate.
  9. Decorate with Easter sprinkles.
  10. After coating each cake ball, insert the stick into a Styrofoam base to allow the chocolate coating to harden.
  11. Enjoy making these delicious treats for your Easter celebration!

Let us know if you incorporate any of these ideas into your Easter celebrations! From our Tortuga family to yours, we wish you a very happy Easter.
